Our sustainable transformation Efficient standards ⚫ As part of Bahnstadt Heidelberg, one of the largest passive house developments in the world, four construction projects were realized to passive house standards. ⚫ With the implementation of NH/EE classes, further building blocks are being implemented to reduce CO2 emissions in the life cycle of a property. Sustainable construction ⚫ In addition to high energy efficiency, our focus is on the holistic sustainability of the property. ⚫ Sustainable construction methods, such as geothermal energy, the use of recycled concrete or wood-hybrid systems, are to be gradually established as an integral part of our project developments. Resource management ⚫ Through integrated land management and recycling, we make military and civilian land usable again. ⚫ We are increasingly focusing on green FM/leasing to ensure the sustainability of our building operations. ⚫ We have been using green electricity since 2015 and CO2- neutral gas since 2018 Certification & Taxonomy ⚫ To date, 10 projects have been awarded the DGNB Gold certificate. ⚫ By aligning our design requirements with the EU taxonomy criteria, we are laying the foundations for future ESG verifications. ⚫ Through our environmental officer and regular energy audits, we are continuously working to improve our environmental footprint.
